Droids.

Owning a droid is costly, normally only those that live in the Inner Core can afford them, where they are seen as status symbols and in the more exclusive areas not unusual. Droids are  rare outside the inner core, unless sent on errands or in dilapidated condition. Some older poor examples are seen up in the shanty towns or the towns of the North. The southern continent frowns upon them and generally destroy them on sight. Some lucky Droids can pass their metal bodies off as suits of armour but that only works for so long. A droids appearance denotes their aesthetic appeal not necessarily their 'organicness'. A droid can be covered in fake flesh to appear organic (merit 1-5pts) but their strange body language will eventually give them away. Animal/pet droids are easier to pass off as 'real' compared to the humanoid forms.

As Droids are sold to the public they have safety measures built in. 'Mind Copy' AIs among others don't always have these Human Protection Protocols added in (2pt merit), security droids tend to have 'modified' safety protocols (1pt merit). Human Protection Protocols or HPP is fairly standard through out all undercities, Droids can not harm or allow harm to humans through their actions or their inactions.

An AI can be loaded into any Droid, but the Droids original AI must be deactivated or erased. Two AI's may fight for possession of a droid, comparing Ghosting abilities. Most task specific Droid AIs do not have a Ghosting skill and must rely on 'Node Strength' to protect themselves (see ghosting)

Below are some typical Droids. Stats are an average a 1-2 point variation is not uncommon, different manufactures place their priorities differently.

** Droids can have any 'Hardware' fitted at extra cost without effecting their Sanity.
*** AI protection protocols that prevent droids from harming humans ONLY apply to humans and those perceived/considered to be human, Elves etc are considered animals at best.
